Destroying Old Tops

Hey everyone
This week I have been on the internet looking for new ideas to do, in the kitchen and in the craft room. So today I bring to you old t-shirts and then turned them into stylish new scarfs. The thing with these scarfs, is that they are really easy to make.
All you need is a old t-shirt and scissors. That's all you need , no sewing machine, no sewing needles, no pins just scissors and old t-shirt (it doesn't have to be an old t-shirt it can be new if you want).
Here is what it turned out to look like in the end.

And here's another example to look at.

All you have to do is cut the shirt just under where the arms are, then cut up form the bottom (or the top, it doesn't really matter) with the scissors. the stripes you cut can be any length you like.
And here is what the left over pieces look like.

And this is what the purple looks like on me when I'm reading.

Here's the pattern one, and what it looks like when I'm standing up.

Well that's it for now. Thanks for reading, I hope I have inspired you.

Sleepy Head

Hello everyone,

It hasn't been long since my last post, but I have all this creativity inside me that just needs to get out of me right now. Also that it is the holidays right now, so I have all this spare time to use. Right, so on to what I have been doing today. Well I'm still using my book 'All Sewn Up'. Today I made myself a pillow case.
It looks really cool. The fabric I used it covered with fish and whales. It's really cute. There aren't any sewn on designs on it because I couldn't find any felt that would go with the fabric.
Here it is.

Well that's all for today.
Thanks for reading.

Fabric Creations

Hello everyone
I'm back!!!

Today I'm stepping out of the kitchen, and getting creative with fabric. But not just felt like my owls. Okay the first thing is an eye mask. This eye mask is made out of two layers of felt (so it will bloke out the light) sequins to make it look pretty and elastic to hold it to my head.
This is what it turned to look like.

And this is what it looks on someones head (my sister)

So that is the eye mask.
Now to my other thing I made with fabric. I made a cat door stop. So now at home we can have the front and back door open without one spamming in the wind.
Take a look.

Pretty cute don't you think. It's head is stuffed with stuffing, and to weigh it down I used small pebbles. Every thing just worked. The eyes are buttons.
Here's a close up.

Both these patterns are from a book I got. It's called 'All Sewn Up' by Chloe Owens. It's a very good book. Full of cool and crafty ideas. I can't wait to share with you all the other patterns from this book.
Thanks for reading.

Hello everyone
It's 2013. Yeah!

I have some catching up to so I'll start with Christmas  It feels like that was a long time ago. But really it wasn't it was just last month. So when Christmas dinner came, I had to make some Christmas cookies, and what better cookies than ginger bread men. Not just any ginger bread men, but ginger bread men with character. You see in November my Aunt gave me eyes. Stick on eyes. So I thought what better time to use them than Christmas on some ginger bread men.
This is the pack that I got them in.

Pretty cool eh?
The ginger bread men worked out perfectly, though some of them did get a little bit burnt. Everything was going on well, I gave the men some icing buttons and put a chocolate drop in each.  With the eyes I had to use yolk of an egg to 'glue' them on. I think they turned pretty well.

Well that's it for now. See you next time.
